Delightful 3BR Apartment in Redwood City

From the fireplace in the living room to the patio, this Redwood City home provides comfortable spaces whether it’s a mild September afternoon or a cool November evening. You get that warm fall feeling from the crimson velvet sofa, homey bedrooms, and the natural elements in the home’s design. The location is perfect. It’s in the heart of Silicon Valley where, in just a short drive, you’ll find grocery stores, shopping, and dining options. Heads up: the Bay Area is festive this time of year—and it’s a great city for leaf peeping. Take a weekend trip to the Japanese Tea Garden in San Francisco or head to the nearby Filoli Gardens.

Pet-Friendly 3BR Townhouse in Philly w/ Parking

Fall in Philly is always a good time, and this three-bedroom townhouse is no different. Inside the home, comfort is key. There are cozy spaces throughout, outfitted with blankets, pillows, and soft rugs. The townhouse is located in the Northern Liberties neighborhood, home to the city’s most prominent food scene (spend an afternoon at the Piazza), but what we love most about the neighborhood is its walkability. Stroll the tree-lined streets and take in all the fall foliage that Philadelphia has to offer. You’ll want to visit during peak season—between October and November—to see the most vibrant colors. Although September remains warm, temperatures begin to cool down in October, but that doesn’t put a damper on outdoor activities. Liberty Lands park is nearby (and perfect for fall picnics), and some of the best festivals, like Philly Music Fest, are typically held this time of year.

Comfortable 4BR House in Portland

Catch all the fall vibes at this Portland home. You can find it in St. Johns, a charming and spirited neighborhood, filled with indie shops, cafés, and cozy pubs. During this time of year, locals hang out at Cathedral Park or walk across the St. Johns Bridge for picturesque views of the changing leaves. It’s really one of the best times of year to experience nature in Portland. Venture outside of the neighborhood to explore Suave Island, a special spot with beaches, farms, wildlife, and of course, trails. In autumn, locals come out to harvest pumpkins and enjoy hayrides, as well as other fun seasonal activities like wandering through corn mazes and picking apples. The vibes continue at home. The shiplap walls in a few of the bedrooms (as well as the woven wood shades) scream autumn—and we can already imagine those evenings around the fire pit with a mug of warm cider in hand.

Fantastic 2BR in Seattle, Pool + Pet-Friendly

Lined with floor-to-ceiling windows, panoramic city views surround this two-bedroom apartment in Seattle. And there’s no better time to experience it than in the fall. Nestled between downtown and Capitol Hill, this home is in close proximity to coffee shops (stop inside Ancient Grounds for a pumpkin-flavored latte), leafy walking trails, and bars and restaurants. Fall in Seattle is a treat. Locals welcome the season by visiting Carpinito Brothers, a pumpkin patch where you’ll find stunning views of Mount Rainier. It’s a great spot to buy vegetables from local farmers and to spend an afternoon with family.

Pet-Friendly 2BR Apartment in D.C.

What makes this D.C. apartment ready for fall? We say it’s a mix of cozy textiles and a warm color palette (the floor-to-ceiling windows don’t hurt either). Take in autumnal views without leaving home. Overlook the city from the living room or the rooftop deck—it’s up to you (just don’t forget to cozy up by the fire pit during those cooler evenings). The Shaw District neighborhood is a gem (and one of the hippest neighborhoods in the city). Right outside, there are restaurants, beer gardens, and local shops lining the streets. And more attractions are close by, like the National Mall, where you’ll find locals enjoying an afternoon stroll and views of architecture and nature.
